Napa Valley Children's Chorus
Your child or children are invited to join the award-winning Napa Valley Children’s Chorus. The chorus is starting in September 2023 after a long break because of covid. We are hoping to recruit as many children who like to sing as possible, so spread the word to your children’s friends and school classes. We will resume rehearsals and concert activities September 12, 2023.
Founded in 1994, NVCC is under the umbrella of the adult community chorus, Sing Napa Valley. The children’s chorus is part of SNV’s ongoing goal of providing opportunities for lifelong participation in choral singing.

The award-winning Napa Valley Children’s Chorus is a dynamic performing group open to all second through sixth graders residing in Napa, Sonoma and surrounding communities. Simple requirements for participation are the ability to match pitch, and a love of singing.
It is expected members who join will take their commitment to the season (September – May) seriously and attend all rehearsals and performances. Participation in Napa Valley Cjhildren’s Chorus fosters a life-long love of singing, builds self-esteem through musical excellence, provides membership in a caring musical community and offers opportunities to share the gift of song through public performances.
The first rehearsal of the Napa Valley Children’s Chorus for the 2023-2024 season will occur on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
Singers in NVCC will venture into the study of singing multi-part music, and systematically learn how to follow a musical score. The children’s chorus repertoire includes songs written in a wide variety of styles and languages. Members work throughout the year to develop their singing voices and performance skill.
You will find all information about rehearsals and location in the Parent Handbook on this website. Also, on this website is a registration form which should be filled out and submitted, or printed, filled and given to me the first day of rehearsal, Sept. 12, with a check for tuition and fee for performance attire and deposit for printed music.
Tuition
Payments can be scheduled out if necessary and scholarships are available by contacting me at the above email address. We do not want to keep any child from singing due to finances.
IN CONCLUSION, If you know friends of your children who also like to sing please tell them about NVCC and give them the flyer on the website. Remember, word of mouth is our best publicity.
I feel happy getting the NVCC up and running again. AS it says in the Parent Handbook, the previous children have aged out and we are starting over so it is doubly important to spread the word.
Looking forward the working with the children, once again. We will sing some wonderful songs and have some great performance opportunities. Thank you for supporting your son or daughter in their pursuit of choral music excellence. Here’s to a fantastic time making vocal music together!
